Given Professor McCall passion it seems entirely right and logical that Lecture attendance with Podcast backup is essential for any University Study. I don’t understand this whole perversion of Lecture thing with Students it puzzles me, I would want good enjoyable and informative one’s too.

1. I am in very deep ‘research’ areas very deep.
2. Reading is deep and serious renewed Library is 800 strong with at least that on Amazon Wish List.

6. I love my Podcasts Public Lectures, CONFERENCES!!, Courses!! even though they are a burden to me plus provide hours of stimulating food for thought. Proper Citation and notes are a must. Other forms of listening ie asleep??!! nocturnal nourishing??

I like the passion of Professor McCall I like his energy his commitment. I like the light he brings to this important subject in Literature even though I don’t yet study Literature.

I have started a new thing a Reader Writer Notebook. This is an MIT OCW Innovation and a fine one it is too. I am realising just how disengaged I am with the books on my list and the power of attraction in a volume e. g the concepts and thinking in Becker’s book and Becker in general*
The books I own and borrow are deep reads indeed. They cut into my very soul and expose the pain and abnormalities that lie in mine and Society’s core especially in academia**
Even though I don’t research my ‘research’ carries me to a depth of discovery that is frightening and Becker’s book is encouraging me on that quest.

Fields covers the four movements:ARGUING REPORTING EXPLAINING AND REFLECTING and puts them into the context of ‘Social Science and Public Affairs and Science and Technologies’ Truly a book for the MIT Community as Science and Technology weaves itself like a river throughout all MIT’s Curriculum.

I made myself a Exploring Self and Society Bookmark with the CORE TASKS: Arguing, Explaining, Reporting, Reflecting so I can carry it as a theme throughout my days. The exercises challenge one to write with Bailey Book ‘Writing Short Stories’. A top class read and top class education which should lead to top class thinking writing wise.
